Come back in 2022 for the Crazy for You: Crazy Quilts and Objects of Memory from the Schwenkfelder
Opening April 2022
Crazy quilts were all the rage from the time of the United States centennial in 1876 through the 1910s. Everyone wanted a sumptuous crazy quilt (which are actually usually not quilted) made from silks and velvets for their parlors. Often the quilts were personal expressions with dates, names, and imagery that were meaningful to the maker.
