Scholarships for Homeschoolers
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center is providing two scholarships for homeschool students desiring enrollment in our 2010 spring program series. One scholarship of $50.00 waives the enrollment fee for one student in a German or Latin course for one month’s session between January 2010 and May 2010. The other in the amount of $80.00 is applied to cover the full or partial enrollment cost of a student in our studio art class between January 2010 and May 2010.
Thank you to all of the applicants who applied for the scholarship this winter, we are no longer accepting scholarship applications.
Congratulations to Sara Heverly and Emma VanValkenburgh who are awarded with the 2010 Homeschool Scholarship. Sara Heverly will attend Art I, January through February 2010. Emma VanValkenburgh will apply her scholarship to the Beginner-Advanced German class this spring 2010. The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center is pleased to offer this opportunity.
The scholarship cannot be renewed. All applicants can reapply in the future. A student can only apply for one scholarship and not both. All prospective, current, and previous homeschool students between the ages of 7-18 are encouraged and eligible to apply. Scholarship applications were reviewed by a non-staff member.
Partial/incomplete applications were not considered.
Scholarship applications must be postmarked or hand delivered to the Heritage Center by December 20, 2009.
Students and their parents will be notified the week of December 27th, 2009.
