There is no charge to attend exhibition openings, Stacy Clark's Open Studio Day, or the Brown Bag Lunch Lecture with Stacy Clark. Although many programs are free, we require advanced notice of participation.
I lost or did not receive a self addressed stamped postcard to indicate my desire to participate. Do I need to mail in a postcard?
No, you do not need to send in a postcard. If you want to participate, please notify our museum educator, Rebecca Lawrence, via mail, email, phone or fax by December 31, 2008. Your information does not commit to your project participation but allows us to plan exhibition space accordingly. Please provide your name, contact information, an approximate number of submissions, and if you would like to attend a program.
I cannot bring my class to the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, but I would like to have Stacy Clark come to our classroom to talk about her process. Can she come to our school?

Will literary submissions be returned?
All literary submissions will become part of the SLHC education collection.
Can my students submit non-representational, abstract, and non-objective works of art?
Yes! The artwork must be influenced by folklore, fantasy, mythological themes, characters, and ideas. The student's artist statement must support the student's artwork.
Must artwork submissions be matted?
We would prefer that works of art are mounted or matted. You may submit works that are framed. Please be advised that we will use a variety of means to exhibit your child's or student's submission depending on the number of total submissions and availability of exhibit furniture. If 3D works need to be assembled, assembly must be completed before arrival to SHLC. The SLHC will be responsible for exhibition display. The SLHC assumes no responsibility for damaged artwork.
Do I need to submit the separate poetry/prose submission form with my student's literary submission?
You only need to submit the poetry/prose parent or guardian release form if your student desires to perform a reading during our exhibition opening on March 15, 2009.
Do my students need to work with the characters and ideas within the My Own Fairy Tale: Works by Stacy Clark exhibit?
No. You may design your own lesson plans. All submissions must explore themes and characters found within folk, fantasy, and mythological genres. We encourage the use of themes, characters, and ideas within the My Own Fairy Tale exhibit, but it is not required.
I am a homeschool parent with limited access to an art room and supplies. Is there a workshop or class to complete an entry?

You may participate in the Open Studio Day with Stacy Clark, on January 17, 2009, where our museum educator can guide you in beginning or completing a submission.
