Consider an Internship

College and high school students may apply for an internship at Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center to further their education and career goals. Internships are available in the following areas:

  • Education: Work with staff to develop lesson plans, teach in programs, and assist in developing online programming.

  • Library Science: Work with our Archivist to gain hands-on experience in the collection, preservation, cataloging, and making available books, manuscripts, photographs, and other documents in our extensive collection of library resources.

  • Marketing & Communications / Development: For individuals interested in work related to marketing, communications, special events, grant writing, and more for a regional history museum and library.

  • General Museum Studies: To get a well-rounded view of the work of small museums and historical societies, consider interning with our director. Possible projects include visitor research, social media, attendance analysis, event planning, and marketing.
